§ 1-9. General penalty.

Whenever in this Code or in any ordinance of the city, or rule or regulation promulgated by an officer or agency thereof, under authority invested by law or ordinance, any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or the doing of any act is required, or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, where no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any of such provisions of this Code, ordinance, rule or regulation shall be punished by a fine of $50.00. Every day any violation of this Code or any such ordinance, rule or regulation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
